Silvana obtained her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology, and her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice, all from California Lutheran University. She also completed an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited internship at George Mason University’s Counseling and Psychological Services in Fairfax, VA as a full-time Psychology Intern. Silvana’s pre-doctoral training was extensive and involved work in community counseling settings working with individuals, families and youth. In addition to her predoctoral training, she also has a decade of experience implementing behavioral interventions for children on the spectrum, and cites working with youth as one of her passions in the field of mental health. Silvana is deeply committed to providing culturally sensitive treatment and creating a space in which people of all identities feel safe to be themselves. Her goal is to understand the deeper meaning underlying one’s emotional and behavioral struggles. Silvana highly values the interpersonal process and therapeutic relationship, which she believes is the most essential aspect of healing.
