Angelynn Hermes graduated from San José State University with a Masters in Social Work and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern California with a double major in Economics and French. Angelynn has over 6 years of experience providing individual, family, and group counseling services to people impacted by trauma and abuse and, prior to joining Paradigm, worked families impacted by medical trauma and relationship violence.
Angelynn’s approach to therapy is eclectic: relating to clients using a strength-based and trauma-informed approach to support a teen’s pursuit of their goals and emotional wellness. Angelynn employs modalities such as EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to work through teen trauma, anxiety, substance use, and self-harm. Passionate about youth who are overwhelmed by emotions, depression, and who are experiencing difficulty in relationships, Angelynn excels in working with LGBTQ teens and youth who are navigating the development of their core identities.
