A-Z Teen Health Glossary

I think my using had progressed to a point where I was very suicidal, very depressed, and really just had found myself feeling as if there was no longer a way out at all to get away from the drug use, to get away from all of the lies. I came here when we did the initial visit. Meeting with Jeff and Cole, you definitely have this immediate understanding that they are in your corner, and you will be the one kind of making the major choices as they guide you to take back control of your life.

I think that anyone that would actually be afraid of going to inpatient, there’s nowhere in the U.S., I don’t know about outside the U.S., you’re not going to find a better place. In terms of the facility, it’s really nice. In terms of the people here, the way they go about treatment, it’s really a very unique program and someone that struggled with sobriety for a long time before I found this facility. It is very unique the way that they are really able to kind of give you the ability to begin to live differently.

Any major issue I have in my life, if it’s big, if it’s significant and if I’m really struggling, Jeff is who I call. It’s not a question. And even my family, my parents, we know. We know that we have a support system here. We know that at the end of the day, if we really had trouble, there’s a place for us to go.
